5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD! Oct. 17 2002
By A Customer
Format:CD-ROM
If you ever wondered what biodiversity is, and why people seem to be so worried about it, this CD is for you. E.O. Wilson, a brilliant biologist from Harvard is your guide through this extraordinary CD. This organization of the material is well thought out with interesting links, a glossary to explain terms, an index, and fascinating ways to compare maps of all sorts of things to get new insights about our world.

1.0 out of 5 stars Content is good, but the software doesn't work properly. Nov. 22 2004
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:CD-ROM
This CD should be an excellent resource, but the software is flawed. It is very tempermental and often crashes or simply won't run. If they work out the bugs so that the software consistently works I would give it a 5 star rating, but right now it is incredibly frustrating to use. Don't waste your money!
2.0 out of 5 stars Earth BioDiversity CD Rom Feb. 20 2006
A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format:CD-ROM
Once you get into this program it's a good resource, relatively easy to use and quite informative. HOWEVER - installing the software is another thing entirely! The software does not install on its own. you need special instructions. I got no help from thier technical support -I left three message and no phone call was ever returned. I had to seek help from an outside source.

This was not worth the touble and effort.
1.0 out of 5 stars Old software doesn't work anymore Jan. 13 2014

Format:CD-ROM|Verified Purchase
I bought this for a conservation biology course I'm teaching and I can't use it because new computers can't even read the old software that this uses. Waste of money.
