Format:Paperback
I bought this book because of the presentation of it's pages. Very clean, nice pitures to follow and specific steps to read. Very appeal to the eye. Easy to follow steps ( very small font for the ingredients, I almost need a magnifying glass to read). Baked the choux pastry recipe and it was a total disaster. The dough almost melts as soon as it hits the heat of the oven. The pastries bubbled from the sides and were not baked after 10 mints in high temperature plus 5 mints with oven door open. I have baked choux pastry hundred time and never had a bad experience. To finish these pastries I also made the Chocolate Frosting and was surprised that the first step is to melt the chocolate in a pan on low heat ( or double boiler). Any one that has ever worked with chocolate knows that you should never melt chocolate into direct heat because it will burn. This makes me wonder how much knowledge does the author have about baking. I have tried other recipes and they are not bad, but it is not a book I will recomend.
