Plenty of helful photos,

I always appreciate a cookbook that is more than just that. Miguel's book has a background on Portugal's Regions, Culture and how both together have made such wonderfully delicious recipes. There are plenty of helpful photos that guide you through the steps. The recipe titles are written in Portuguese as well as in English which I enjoy as I speak both languages. Most of Miguel's recipes are not the traditional recipes that I grew up with but it is a pleasure to be introduced to new ones that could become some of our favorites.
