About the Author
Haberdasher to the stars, Kenneth D. King has designed clothing, home furnishings, and accessories for Elton John, Jim Carrey, and others. He is professor of haute couture at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and sewing expert on the PBS series Sewing Today. He is also the author of Designer Bead Embroidery (CPi, 2006).

Same book different cover,

I purchased this book about a year after purchasing Home Sewing Couture Techniques (2009). I was surprised to see that both books are one and the same. Same book, different year and different cover. This is a serious error by Amazon to advertise these two books without indicating that they are exactly the same. I have enjoyed the content of King's book but I don't need to buy two copies.

I have always admired Kenneth King's outside-of-the-box talents. This new book of his book is absolutely wonderful! The photos are a selling feature alone - closeup, clear, precise, and self-explanatory. This is definitely going to be one of my favourite sewing books. I highly recommend it to any sewer who is looking for some easy-to-learn construction techniques, finishing, and detailing that will give your projects a special couture look.

Full of new ideas .Very motivating to upgrade your sewing .Can't wait to experiment new techniques ,the illustrations are so clear even for a francophone .
