Product Description

About the Author

After completing her B.S. degree in Biology (with a concentration in Medical Microbiology) at the University of California, Davis, Nathalie Valkov, PhD, L.Ac, planned to go to medical school. But when she happened to ask her immunology professor why he no longer practiced medicine, his response was life changing: Because the goal of Western medicine is to kill the disease before you kill the patient. Preferring a more preventative and holistic approach, Nathalie instead obtained her Master's degree from Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, California, followed by her PhD which focused on the treatment of ailments such as diabetes. After interning in both Western and Oriental medical clinics, Nathalie established her private practice with an emphasis on herbology and acupuncture. She would love to read your comments and answer your questions. She can be reached at

Format: Paperback
So far, this book has been the easiest and the most informative book I have seen on cordyceps. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about this mushroom and its medical applications without getting a headache in the process.

HASH(0xa19468b8) out of 5 stars A VERY INFORMATIVE BOOK April 18 2013
By GLORIOUS SCOTT - Published on
Format: Paperback
I found this book to be very informative and easy to understand. I had no ideal that so much research had been done on cordeyceps. We have a family member that needed Dr. valkov's help so I took a chance and gave her a call. When I spoke with her she was very caring and willing to help us with the information that we needed. God bless you Dr Valkov for being the caring and informative person that you are.

This book was easy to follow and cited many examples of success using Cordyceps for various illness and disease.
Many of the research studies were performed on humans. References are also shown at the back of the book.
The author, Nathalie Valkov appears to be very knowledgeable on the subject of Cordyceps.
