I talked my boss into buying this for me after numerous library fines. As a technical artist, I am always on the lookout for shortcuts and ways to make my job easier/better. I read through this and each chapter brought an "I didn't know Corel could do that" revelation. There are a lot of resource books and tutorials for the Adobe Suite (which I also use), and not so many for Corel products. This is a great resource for beginners and seasoned users alike. Well done!

As a basic "How do you use this tool", this is a good book but there is little insight into real world projects and no real Lab exercises where you might build a significant image. So if your looking for a reference then this is your book but if your looking for more, look elsewhere.

This guide for using CorelDraw is an extremely well written book for a beginner with CorelDraw. It is very comprehensive. It is organized well enough so that even if you are not familiar with any special jargon, you can find the drawing functions that you are looking for quite easily.

Even though I haven't read the whole book yet, it has answered a lot of questions about CorelDRAW X4. I have enjoyed it so much that I ordered another one fo my granddaughter for her birthday. It was written in such a way that it is easy to understand, even for a novice to CorelDRAW. An awesome book!!!

Everything you wanted to know, but did not know how to get to it Sept. 10 2009

Finally! A book with step by step, easy instructions and examples to learn a complex system. The help on the program itself assumes that you know a lot, and therefore not too helpful. For a person that does not know a thing about this program, (me), it is an awesome book. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I have been playing with CorelDraw X4 for about a month and have had many questions on how to do things. Well this book covers quite a bit. Its good as a tutorial or as a reference book. It even covers VBA scripting for CorelDraw.
