Great book, but for a limited application

I received the Corvette Black Book as a gift and I read it from cover to cover. Each model year has a page of data containing things that differ from previous model years and perhaps a little history as well. However, if you're considering the Corvette Black Book as an informative look at the history of the vehicle, you're looking at more of a Corvette "Table of Contents."
I believe the Black Book is intended for buyers, investors and collectors as a guide to determine authenticity, numbers matching, etc, on the fly, such as at a car show or auction. That's why it's sized to fit into one's pocket.
Instead, consider "The Complete Book of Corvette: Every Model Since 1953" by Mike Mueller, an author who has written many highly informative books on Corvette. Think of it as the Black Book on steroids.

I love the CBB and have been using it since 1997. Even an avid Vette fan forgets something once in awhile, whether buying, comparing, or simply ogling one of the incredible Vettes online. You'll find facts and figures right down to block and head #'s for that "numbers matching" special Corvette you're looking at! I only write reviews of products/services that really strike me as special, and after owning a customer service oriented business for 25+ years, I know what it takes to stand out in a positive way. The Corvette Black Book is outstanding. It is reasonably priced as a reference work- you WILL refer back to it many times as a Corvette lover! Highest Recommendation!
