Product Description

Former Hot Water Music lead singer and current solo troubadour Chuck Ragan's third studio album Covering Ground is as much of a love letter to his transient lifestyle as it is a concession to the loved ones he often has to leave behind and is also undeniably his most honest and accomplished album to date. The album is the sonic equivalent to Jack Kerouac's On The Road and could only be created by someone bred into road life and who requires a release like this in order to stay sane doing it.

Chuck Ragan is a lion Oct. 8 2011

When it comes to stripped down guitars and a Whiskey voice there is no better artist than Chuck Ragan. Passionate music that comes straight from the heart and lyrics about the little things in life. I prefer his solo albums over the ones with Austin Lucas where imho it is a little too much Folk.
Chucks voice was amazing and sometimes almost brutal with HWM and brings the rattle to these guitar and violin led songs.

Folk-Punk at its best.

This is a great record. The stripped down guitar, fiddle, and bass really works with Chucks voice. This record takes the listener on the road with the band making it great for driving on your way to a camping trip
Great album start to finish. Jan. 25 2014

This is a great album. The tracks transition very well. All of the songs can be appreciated for being unique and genuine. I think this is a great album not only because of the quality of the songs but because there is a great balance between mood and tempo throughout the tracks; and Chucks consistently throaty vocals definitely complement that . There is no place to complain on this one; If you played this at a cookout your friends wouldn't be like "why are you playing some weird band no one has ever heard of?" their going to be like "who is this? this is good!"
