5.0 out of 5 stars One of the most thoroughly enjoyabale books I have ever read, Sep 11 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Covington's Folly (Paperback)
Covington's Folly has it all--mystery, romance, laugh-out-loud humor, and most importantly, well-written dialogue! Once you pick it up, you will not be able to put it down. I know I didn't! This fast-paced book has some of the most lovable characters you will ever come across. If you are a fan of Georgette Heyer, this book is a must read!

Chantel and Richard are great together. The spirited young women and the dashing rake. Chantel's brother Teddy was one of my favorite characters. He was always get into scrapes that Chantel would have to help him get out of. The book is great and it is a must read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Delightfully entertaining., Jan 31 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Covington's Folly (Paperback)
Covington's Folly is just loaded with lots of fun filled action and very funny situations. For the most part I really enjoyed it. There were, however, parts where the story line faultered. The idea that a woman, Lady Genevieve, hiding all her valuable, worldly goods by herself, evidently digging and creating a room for them, and the goods fitting in that one room was a little to much. And all this without anyone knowing. I kept thinking that she had to have had help and how in the world did she get the help to keep her secret. It would have been more believable if she had turned all the goods into cash and hid the cash in a strong box which she in turn could have easily hidden. On top of that I also wondered what she lived on after she hid the goods. Even after all this, I still enjoy Cindy's books. There is always something in them to make me laugh and forget the world.
