My wife and I recently ended many years of searching and bought a waterfront lot on a lake. We won't build for a few years but what I have in my minds eye is a "rustic Maine cottage". If you look at the cover of this book you see something akin to the style we have in mind. Unfortunately inside the book you'll discover about 99% of the designs are so conventional looking that they seem more appropriate for a suburban sub-division. I only tabbed one design that was remotely close to what I was looking for.
