One Hot Read!,
By
This review is from: Crazy Cool (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the first time I’ve read anything penned by Ms. Janzen and it won’t be the last. She has penned a sexy contemporary that will leave the reader looking for her backlist.Katya Dekker is trying to get her Denver art gallery off to a grand start. She plans to do this through an art auction…but then she catches the sight of someone from her past and she is set back thirteen years to the one man she wished she had had the courage to hold on to. Christian Hawkins. Thirteen years earlier Christian played the rescuer to Kat damsel in distress. This of course leads to a month that neither of them is going to be able to forget…and Christian is going to go to jail for a murder he did not commit. Now years later he has been called to protect the one woman that has ever touched his heart. Will he be able to stay detached or will the chemistry that burned between them catch them unaware? They will have to figure this out while trying to stay one step ahead of blackmailer who wants Christian out of the picture for good. This is a very complex book. Ms. Janzen has laid the groundwork for future stories while still penning a hot and engaging story. Christian is yummy and a total Alpha male that is a wonderful character and Kat is his match. I can’t wait for the next in the series and highly recommend Ms. Janzen.

I stumbled onto Crazy Hot last week and by the weekend, I knew I had to get Crazy Cool too! I really like the way the author gives everyone's perspectives in the books. All the names seem confusing and complex when you start reading Crazy Cool, especially if you haven't read Crazy Hot first, but after chapter 2, you just get sucked into the intricate plots that are boiling and see how they all are linked together.I can't wait to see what else happens with the Steele Street gang - some vengeance, a lot of love? I hope that they give Quinn and Robin more of a part in the series - I love the way they were in Crazy Hot. I also hope that Superman and Kat have a part in the stories too. Hookups I'm waiting to see: Skeeter & Travis the "Wonder Boy", and Kid Chaos & Nikki staying together and maybe finding her parents - you can just feel the emotions pouring out of the pages from these people. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful

My favorite Crazy book - on my keeper shelf!,

I loved loved loved this book!Christian Hawkins (aka Superman - all the male heroes in this series have a nickname) went to jail 13 years ago for a murder he didn't commit. He feels that he wouldn't have gone to jail if only Katya Dekker would have spoken up in his defense. Though he got out of jail after 2 years, he's never forgotten nor forgiven her. Katya Dekker went through her own hell after Christian Hawkins went to jail. She feels incredibly sorry for what Christian went through and feels as though she failed him. After living in California, Katya Dekker has recently moved back to Denver and has opened an art gallery. She's at an art auction where Christian Hawkins, along with Dylan Hart (another male hero who has his story told in Book 5 - Crazy Love), have been mysteriously assigned to be the security detail. Trouble starts and Christian rushes to save Katya. What happens next is the tale of how these two get back together and resolve their issues and the past. The chemistry between these two characters is hot! And I loved reading each character's points of view. What can I say - I love those tortured male characters who are fighting their feelings! Give yourself some time to read this book (and this series). Once you start, these books will pull you in and you'll find that you can't stop with just one book. And be sure to read Book 1 first (Crazy Hot) before reading Crazy Cool - it helps to explain the characters and a subplot that's in this book (Kid chaos and Nikki story) makes much more sense. |
