Reviews from New Directions Aromatics,
This review is from: Creamy Craft of Cosmetic Making with Essential Oils and Their Friends (Paperback)
Reviews about the Creamy Craft and Baby Boomers BooksSubmited By: Christine from North Vancouver, British Columbia on 11/24/2010 Loyal Customer Since: 2005 Rating: This book is a joy to read and I've learned so much! Submited By: Deborah from Centennial, Colorado on 06/17/2009 Loyal Customer Since: 2007 Rating: I am so happy you have this book! I tried to make creams and lotions initially with the stearic acid, beeswax, Borax, water and oil method and was never successful. I always ended up with separation and it was nothing like lotion. I purchased this book and some Polawax (I already had the other basic ingredients), and have made some sensational creams and lotions from the excellent recipes in this book. The book is very easy to follow (although I had to convert the metric measurements) and there are some powerful recipes and remedies for all skin types. I am looking forward to making more of the recipes for different skin types as my recipe testers are VERY happy with the creams that I have made so far. Submited By: Melanie from Toronto, Ontario on 04/20/2009 Loyal Customer Since: 2005 Rating: I just made one of the cream recipes from this book today! It was super easy and the cream is awesome! I can't wait to try out some of the other recipes. This book is informative and very easy to follow. Submited By: Tracey from Toronto, Ontario on 02/18/2009 Loyal Customer Since: 2005 Rating: One of only three books that I carry in my aromatherapy clinic, this book contains tried and true basic recipes with explanations for how to address a variety of health and beauty problems. Also included are glossaries of healthy and unhealthy ingredients to introduce you to natural products and natural preservatives. Submited By: Stephanie from Burlington, Ontario on 11/22/2006 Loyal Customer Since: 2005 Rating: This book is great for anyone! It has a variety of recipes, some stress management tools, and substitution charts. A great beginning for anyone looking for some basics to build on.
