4.0 out of 5 stars Exciting and inspiring, Dec 27 2011
As a landscape designer, I find this book to be quite inspiring. It certainly more than adequately illustrates that you can have a visually interesting garden created entirely of edible plants. With the issues of food insecurity evident world-wide, it is my humble opinion that we are wasting way too much space on the pretty plants and not enough on the practical plants. This book provides an excellent option to have both. The photos are beautiful and there are sample plans outlining what types of plants are required to produce several garden configurations for those who would like to have instant success. Those of you who are interested in companion planting will be interested as well. It applies polycultural planting theory for sure.

This is a beautiful book! I got so many inspirations from it for my own gardens. This is definitely for the gardener who doesn't want the prim and proper perfect type garden. More rustic and user friendly. The photos are wonderful which is an absolute must for a book like this. Highly recommend.

So many great ideas in here, this is the book to read if you want to tear up the front lawn and make a beautiful veg garden, the veg gardens in here would rival any ones orimental garden. Lovely ideas for working with dwarf fruit trees for small spaces.
