3.0 out of 5 stars Leaving viewers guessing is unfair!! Dec 11 2012
By LAG
Format:DVD
When I saw the first episode under the criminal minds logo I knew a spin off was in the works! I started checking TV Listing and could never find it...so was overjoyed to see it bundled and on sale. The show is different enough in my opinion to withstand critical reviews but I guess the powers that be felt otherwise. Since the show has since been cancelled it was not very fair to have the last episode has a cliff hanger. I guess the producers thought it would be funny to leave viewers up on arms about the outcome. To add insult to injury the bonuses included in set show the filming of the conclusion to the cliffhanger but don't disclose enough to give any kind of hint as to the outcome. I guess we will never know who survived and who died.
I only gave it 3 stars because of this cruel joke. Once the show was cancelled why would they not include that episode as an extra bonus feature.
A single act like that would have made everyone happy and would probably have left the original show with many new and returning customers.....too bad they made such a bad call!! :(

3.0 out of 5 stars Based only on what aired on TV Jun 27 2011
By C. S. Sauvé TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:DVD
While the 13 episodes were good, if much more violent than the origial series in many respects (including the attitudes of the Agents in the Red Cell), they do leave many questions:

*Not to give away too much, but if female serial killers are so rare, then why are they so common? (Same goes for the theories with multiple personalities at their core.)
*Are we really supposed to take that mild, professional woman for Penelope Garcia? (And if we are, does she have set hours between the teams? If the Red Cell and the original group both call her around the same time, who gets priority over her genius?)
*What happened to that woman from the original? I thought she was the director of the FBI, not the old, balding guy.
*Is Cooper a Priest or something? He seems to be giving last rites a few times as well as giving the talk at a funeral. (Maybe he's just really religious? He's clearly very disturbed if his art is any indication.)
*Why didn't they use the quotations to lead and end the episodes?

On top of that, pricing this the same as Criminal Minds season 6, leaving the final episode as a cliffhanger and knowing that there will never be a conclusion to it since the show is cancelled ("To Be Continued" indeed...) leads me to know that, unless I find the set second hand somewhere (or it's listed at under $20 here) I will never actually own it. [The sad thing is that I was fully ready to pay that price, until I discovered the show was not continuing.]

If I do ever get my hands on a copy, I will edit my review here to include the bonus features as well. [And if the show somehow does get pulled into future seasons, then I will line up to buy them all.]

1.0 out of 5 stars Too pricy for a cancelled show April 1 2012
Format:DVD
While it was a good show, the price for the 13 episodes are a bit too much. The way to solve the crimes have become too predictable. Any dead ends can be solved by a computer search.
