Convenient Cooking with Programmable Timer

Time an issue? Even those with a busy schedule can make meal times magical. Prepare the slow cooker the night before--simply add ingredients to the stoneware insert and refrigerate overnight. Then, before work in the morning, set the stoneware insert into the heating base, secure the lid, turn it on, and set the programmable timer--the slow cooker takes care of the rest. After a slew of weekend errands or a long day at the office, dinner will be ready and waiting.

Touchscreen Control Panel

The slow cooker's touchscreen control panel makes programming practically foolproof. Fingertip touch controls include Low, High, and Warm cook settings, as well as Time Up or Time Down options for setting the cooking time from 30 minutes up to 20 hours. Its digitally displayed timer counts down the cooking time remaining, and the slow cooker automatically shifts over to a convenient keep-warm mode at the end of the cooking time, which allows food to remain at an ideal serving temperature without over-cooking. The digital timer also keeps track of time spent in keep-warm mode, counting up in one-minute increments for up to six hours before shutting off automatically. A Cooking indicator light and a Keep Warm indicator light offer at-a-glance convenience.

Elegant Design in Polished Stainless Steel

The oval-shaped slow cooker features a seamless, beautifully polished, stainless-steal exterior that adds a touch of modern elegance to any kitchen. It also comes with stylish metal side handles wrapped in silicone to help ensure a secure, comfortable grip when transporting from the kitchen to the table or buffet and back again.

Even more, the slow cooker's removable stoneware and glass lid move easily to the table for use as a lidded server, to the refrigerator for storing leftovers (no need to dirty a second container), and into the dishwasher for quick cleanup between uses. The stoneware can also go in an oven (but not the broiler) or microwave for added versatility.

Whether heading to a potluck, making a Sunday dinner, or hosting the holidays, the slow cooker is the ultimate kitchen companion. In addition to healthy, home-cooked meals, it can also be used to make and serve spiced coffee, mulled apple cider, and other festive beverages when entertaining friends and family. As an extra bonus, a cookbook comes included, filled with delicious menu ideas.

Bought this after many hours of research and one purchase/return of another that was extremely disappointing even though it was the same brand. The ceramic liner of this one is thick like the older models used to be, many of the new crocks have such a thin liner that they heat too quickly and too hot on low setting.

This one has a true low, high and will click to warm when time is done. This was also one of the top rated slow cookers by america's test kitchen, {an independent reviewer/test kitchen}

Love the metal handles, though they do get hot at least they won't fall apart like my last one did with the plastic handles.

It came quickly as promised as per the norm from Amazon.

I am extremely happy with how this slow cooker performs.Yes the chrome exterior gets hot but I have had the same situation with every slow cooker I've owned.Washes up very easy.Certainly would recomend this product but you should note that there is no medium heat setting should you feel that is a requirment?Would also like to comment on Amazons service. This item arrived at my door less than 24hrs. after placing my order. The crock pot arrived quickly and is beautiful on the counter -- looks more expensive then it is. I've made three dishes so far and the crock pot works as expected.

There is a recipe book that comes with the crock pot and I made the shrimp / sausage gumbo....it is a terrible dish...this is my only negative comment so far. I recommend getting 1,001 Slow Cooker Recipes as the two recipes I've made from this book have been excellent.

Now that I've taken a few slow cooker books out of the library, I realize that crock pots also make brownies and cakes too. Who knew?? If you think that you might want to use your Crock Pot for desserts, I suggest you consider the round shape, not the oval one, as most cake recipes require that you use a round spring form pan inside the crock pot. With the oval shape, you cannot do this; the most you can do is line the bottom with parchment paper and make an oval cake.

One benefit of a round shape versus oval is that round ones fit into cupboards easier, taking up less space.

Does exactly as advertised. It's temperature control is what makes the difference. With other slow cookers you come home to find what ever you put in there in the morning is over cooked. Cooking times were well off from recipes. With this Crock-Pot it truly is a slow cooker when you need it to be a slow cooker. Worth the money

I was disappointed with this slow cooker. I agree with the fact that the lid does not seal properly and perhaps this is the reason for the longer than normal cooking times. I had a much older model of this same crockpot that was awesome. Sadly, I cracked the dish by taking it from the fridge and putting it right in the unit to cook. (lesson learned the hard way) In any case, this new model has serious heat issues. On low for 10 hours I still had many vegetables that did not cook through. Even on high it does not seem to get up to adequate heat levels. Finally, the most troublesome issue is the fact that I set it for 8 hours and started the cooking before going to work. When I came home, hoping to tuck into a big stew, the crockpot had shut off on its own at some point very early in the cooking. The next time I decided to use it on the weekend so that I could monitor the cooking. The thing shut off three times forcing me to reset and restart it each time. I was trying to set it for 8-10 hours the first three times and it finally stayed on when I set it for 5 hours. Perhaps I have a dud from the digital side of things but that doesn't take away from the fact that this slow cooker does not carry adequate heat on low or high.

Very happy with the construction and the look and feel of the unit itself. The handles and feet on it are fantastic.

I would highly recommend this to anyone.

A fantastic kitchen gadget for the cold winter months here in Calgary!

this crock pot is easy to set and easy to use. The timer goes up beyond 10 hours, so it can be used for overnight stock recipes!
Cleanup was easy also, the sides are straight up, unlike my last crock pot. All around, I am exceptionally pleased with this unit.

This is the first slow cooker I have ever purchased, after receiving one as a wedding gift 41 years ago, which I never used, and ended up giving away. I used it at Thanksgiving with company as it freed up a burner on the stove. It works really well, looks good, has a large capacity. I needed a new cooktop, so instead of spending a lot of money to get one with a fifth burner, I decided to buy a slow cooker to complement a 4 burner cooktop. A lot less expenditure! If you are looking for an extra cooking spot with a large pot, this is the way to go.
