Convenient Cooking with Programmable Timer

Time an issue? Even those with a busy schedule can make meal times magical. Prepare the slow cooker the night before--simply add ingredients to the stoneware insert and refrigerate overnight. Then, before work in the morning, set the stoneware insert into the heating base, secure the lid, turn it on, and set the programmable timer--the slow cooker takes care of the rest. After a slew of weekend errands or a long day at the office, dinner will be ready and waiting.

Touchscreen Control Panel

The slow cooker's touchscreen control panel makes programming practically foolproof. Fingertip touch controls include Low, High, and Warm cook settings, as well as Time Up or Time Down options for setting the cooking time from 30 minutes up to 20 hours. Its digitally displayed timer counts down the cooking time remaining, and the slow cooker automatically shifts over to a convenient keep-warm mode at the end of the cooking time, which allows food to remain at an ideal serving temperature without over-cooking. The digital timer also keeps track of time spent in keep-warm mode, counting up in one-minute increments for up to six hours before shutting off automatically. A Cooking indicator light and a Keep Warm indicator light offer at-a-glance convenience.

Stylish metal side handles wrapped in silicone for a secure, comfortable grip. View larger
Elegant Design in Polished Stainless Steel

The oval-shaped slow cooker features a seamless, beautifully polished, stainless-steal exterior that adds a touch of modern elegance to any kitchen. It also comes with stylish metal side handles wrapped in silicone to help ensure a secure, comfortable grip when transporting from the kitchen to the table or buffet and back again.

Even more, the slow cooker's removable stoneware and glass lid move easily to the table for use as a lidded server, to the refrigerator for storing leftovers (no need to dirty a second container), and into the dishwasher for quick cleanup between uses. The stoneware can also go in an oven (but not the broiler) or microwave for added versatility.

Whether heading to a potluck, making a Sunday dinner, or hosting the holidays, the slow cooker is the ultimate kitchen companion. In addition to healthy, home-cooked meals, it can also be used to make and serve spiced coffee, mulled apple cider, and other festive beverages when entertaining friends and family. As an extra bonus, a cookbook comes included, filled with delicious menu ideas.

Bought this after many hours of research and one purchase/return of another that was extremely disappointing even though it was the same brand. The ceramic liner of this one is thick like the older models used to be, many of the new crocks have such a thin liner that they heat too quickly and too hot on low setting.

This one has a true low, high and will click to warm when time is done. This was also one of the top rated slow cookers by america's test kitchen, {an independent reviewer/test kitchen}

Love the metal handles, though they do get hot at least they won't fall apart like my last one did with the plastic handles.

It came quickly as promised as per the norm from Amazon.

Does exactly as advertised. It's temperature control is what makes the difference. With other slow cookers you come home to find what ever you put in there in the morning is over cooked. Cooking times were well off from recipes. With this Crock-Pot it truly is a slow cooker when you need it to be a slow cooker. Worth the money

this crock pot is easy to set and easy to use. The timer goes up beyond 10 hours, so it can be used for overnight stock recipes!
Cleanup was easy also, the sides are straight up, unlike my last crock pot. All around, I am exceptionally pleased with this unit.

After extensive research, I decided to purchase this slow cooker for several reasons: I wanted a slow cooker that automatically switches to "warm" setting when the cooking cycle is complete, came highly recommended by a trusted source, in this case America's Test Kitchen, and, of course, was easy to use. This slow cooker fulfilled all those wants. And, most importantly, it has produced excellent results with the three dishes which I have made so far, namely, Beef Burgundy and 15-Bean Soup (made with Bob's Red Mill 13 Bean Soup Mix)from "Slow Cooker Revolution" by the Editors of America's Test Kitchen, and Mushroom Spinach Lasagna from Canadian Living.

So far, my only negative comment is that one must be careful to rinse the lid very well after washing as water and soap suds tend to get trapped under the lid handle; however, after adequate rinsing and leaving the lid to air dry, this issue is resolved.

As a side note, this slow cooker is currently half the price on the Canadian Amazon website as the same unit is on the U.S. Amazon website, which sure surprised me!

This crock pot performs well. My issues are with safety regarding the outer unit. First: the handles get very hot except for the small (two finger-width) silicone grips. You really need to use potholders to handle this when in use. Second, there are only three feet on the base of the unit, making it unstable, especially when full. Since this large crock pot is heavy when full with unstable footing and hot handles, maneuvering it creates a safety risk.

Pros: beautiful stainless steel that cleans up like a dream and keeps looking gorgeous and impressive! Heavy duty black 'crock' that transitions to the table beautifully. Easy to program and I love the convenient 'keep warm' setting. Generous size, but I've cooked very successfully when it was only 1/3 full (I don't know if they recommend that, but I do it and it works great for me.) Cooking temperature seems to be very accurate, meaning I get predictable results from recipes and I can accurately estimate time on dishes I make up myself. Also, the cord is plenty long enough to set it up anywhere in my kitchen. I'm looking forward to doing my mulled wine in it this Christmas, just so I can set it out on the sideboard for my guests to see - it's that pretty!
Cons: only 3 legs on an oval shaped appliance means it can be tippy if you try to move it when it's full - easy solution: don't move it when it's full! Also, the handle on the lid is not properly sealed, so soapy water gets in and needs to be drained out every time I wash it. Small thing overall, I'm just not sure why they put the crappy plastic handle on such an otherwise fantastic appliance. I'm going to try sealing it with silicone, but I haven't done that yet.
I've only been using it for 2 months, so I can't speak to longevity, but so far I absolutely love this slow cooker and have no regrets about my purchase.

Very happy with the construction and the look and feel of the unit itself. The handles and feet on it are fantastic.

I would highly recommend this to anyone.

A fantastic kitchen gadget for the cold winter months here in Calgary!
