5.0 out of 5 stars This book, thumbs down. New and revised book 2 thumbs up! Oct 29 2011

I agree with the previous reviewer that this book was unorganized and jumpy with the ending leaving the reader saying to themselves "huh"? However, liking the premise of the book itself I decided to give the author another chance with his latest work; "Gabriel Thorn: A Faerie Tale" which was supposed to be an updated version/sequel built into one book off of "A Crown of Thorns". Since I liked the idea of the first book and curious to see how the author has grown I decided to give his latest work a shot. Needless to say the author has come a long way baby! Much more mature, enjoyable, and emotional writing came out of this story as opposed to his original work. I don't really know this for a fact, but the author may have received feedback much like the original reviewer's outlook (which is my outlook as well on his first book) and decided to improve his story, which he most certainly did and it far exceeded my expectations!

You can google the book to see where you can purchase it (didn't find it on here unfortunately), and if you liked the "story potential" of this book I would most certainly give his latest work "Gabriel Thorn: A Faerie Tale" a shot as it is much improved and I enjoyed seeing how far this author has come. Two thumbs up!

This book had such promise: The Dark Savior of the Elfin Race must find a way to rid the world of a genetic mistake: the human race. What an awesome opening! However, the author creates problems and invents unrealistically easy solutions for the characters. Gabriel Thorn, the protagonist, also falls in lust/love with a random girl far to fast, and this random girl ends up being essential to the plot. The book jumps around at a dizzying pace, and it simply ends. There is no resolution, other that Thorn deep in thought about his plight. Even if there is a sequel resolving the issues, I will not read it. This poorly constructed novel was not an enjoyable read.
