Wake up to the smell of freshly baked bread with this programmable bread machine. The 680-watt appliance automatically adjusts the speed and timing for foolproof results, while its convection fan circulates air during baking for superior crust color and texture. Exclusive Low Carb, Gluten-Free, and Artisan Dough settings are just 3 of 16 preset menu options available with the touch of a button. The Artisan Dough menu option takes basic bread dough through several long, slow, cool rises for chewier textures and rustic crusts. Along with the 16 preset menu options, the unit offers three crust colors and three loaf sizes, to give bread lovers a choice of over 100 bread, dough, sweet cake, and jam combinations. Its perfect-timing audible tone indicates when it's time to add fruit, nuts, or other mix-ins, and a second tone offers the option of removing the paddle before baking or removing unbaked dough to shape by hand. Other convenient features include a 15-minute pause, a bake-only option, a 12-hour delay-start timer, power-failure backup, and large stay-cool handles. With its classic lines, smooth brushed stainless steel, and embossed logo, this attractive bread machine looks great on the countertop for convenient, everyday use. The unit measures 18 by 12-1/5 by 14-7/8 inches and carries a three-year limited warranty.

1.0 out of 5 stars Original and replacement FAILED Feb 18 2010
By Big Hat
Got the first one as a gift. Brand new, fresh stock, serial number on bottom is really a date code. After making two loaves a week for about four months, about 30 loaves, program would stop, start, stop and sometimes just click, no movement. I got a replacement. After only 12 weeks, same type of issue. But worse. Grinding sounds along with the stopping. Called Cuisinart. Yes it is under warranty but we no longer have authorized service centers to accept the item so you will have to pay to send it back to us. Then I thought "no point" they will just send a new but same flawed product.
Did some checking. This is a common problem with this product. It is known to the manufacturer. Yet they still sell this model.
Beware, Cuisinart is also Conair. I will avoid this manufacturer.

3.0 out of 5 stars The machne is OK but... Jan 24 2011
By pfrank
We have had this machine for about 4 years. We have never had a problem with the machine and most of the breads have turned out well. The problem is the bread pan, more specifically the seal around the spindle that holds the paddle. After making one or two loaves a week for 9-12 months, the seal around the spindle starts to break down. Sometimes we have had liquid leak into the bottom of the machine because of this but usually we have noticed it during clean-up. The solution is to replace the pan. We are on our fourth pan since we purchased the machine. They are not always easy to find and sometimes are misshapen due to handling during shipment.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great bread, poorly constructed product Sep 21 2011
I love the bread that this machine bakes, however, I have had many of the same problems I see reported here. Broken lid, the paddle/seal mechanism breaks down after a while and the pan doesn't fit well. The pan doesn't stay put and can be hard to get in and out after some manipulation to keep it from bumping around during the knead cycle. I wish I had returned it at the first sign of a problem, but its been a couple years now and I've resigned myself to just buying new pans and constantly listening for the noise that tells me the pan has come loose yet again. I wouldn't recommend spending the money on this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Happy with my purchase
I like this product.
It doesn't make too much noise and I'm pleased with the results.
My only negative comment would be: it could be a little smaller.
