From Amazon.ca

A roomy 2-in-1 tool, this Cuisinart grill-griddle combo lets you cook blueberry pancakes for breakfast and rosemary chicken breasts for dinner with a simple flip of its cooking surface. Coated with nonstick for less fat in cooking and easier cleanup, the cooking plate features one smooth side and one ribbed side. In either configuration, excess grease and fat runs off through slits in one end to the drip tray below. Measuring 18-1/2 by 11 inches, the grill surface accommodates enough food for the whole family or cooks several different dishes at once. Streamlined yet substantial, the base combines a stainless-steel frame with plastic legs, making it stable yet manageable in weight. The temperature control probe inserts simply in one end, and an indicator light signals when the surface has achieved the desired heat. Cleanup is made easier on this model by an immersible cooking plate and dishwasher-safe drip pan and scraping tool. Altogether, the grill measures 24-1/2 by 12 by 5 inches. Cuisinart includes a three-year warranty. --Emily Bedard

We purchased this model in February, 2010 to replace an old T-Fal unit that "died" and was no longer available. The Cuisinart has a large cooking surface and is reversible so you can make delicious pancakes for breakfast and grill a tender juicy steak for dinner. Chicken and chops, (pork or lamb) also are easy along with vegetables- tomatoes, peppers, onions, zucchini and the like. Clean up is a breeze thanks to the no-stick surface. The thermostat control works well and maintains even temperatures for any cooking requirement. Overall we are very pleased with it and now, I have to cut this review short because my wife is making veal scaloppine (done on the Guisinart Grill) and it's almost ready. Perhaps with a Pinot Grigio- Bon appetit! Tomorrow morning, it's blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries, strawberries and raspberries topped with Quebec maple syrup.Merci Cuisinart! Thank you for reading.

It's cheaply made. The temperature control dial has constantly broken and now is stuck to one temperature. I have brought it back twice to the warranty service location but will not go back since it's over a thirty minute drive. the support base inside the unit is plastic and when it accidently fell in the box, it cracked and broke.

I have to find another brand because this one is no good anymore

The heat control that connects the heat element to the grill failed after 3 uses. Fortunately we had a control from a grill that we retired because of the deteriation of the cooking surface. The grill performs well with the old control, however a new control would be adviseablle due to the age of the old grill. Please advise

We received this griddle as a gift several years ago. I know at that time it was about $135.00 Canadian. After approximately two years the temperature dial broke. The dial separated from the base and exposed a flimsy spring underneath. Despite gluing it back on it did not last.

After paying approximately $35.00 to replace the dial about 18 months ago I used the grill this morning only to find out that the dial has broken again. I also notice that despite using only plastic utentils there are many scratch marks on the smooth surface side.

I question the quality of this item if these types of problems arise.

Further to my original review, I understand that this item has been discontinued. I expect that this is due to the lack of quality.
