This product was much more expensive than the first food processor I bought about 15 years ago but it is so beautiful and handy that I keep mine on my counter at all times. The blades are lethally sharp so you must be very careful when cleaning them. I first saw this on Rouxbe online cooking school and I was taken by how efficiently they put together so many recipes that I now use it more often then I ever used my old one. It takes some getting used when you take it apart to clean it and then put it back together because it has a lot of features some of them are for our safety (lethal blades). The feed tube has a small hole for dripping liquids for making salad dressings or you can remove it for adding liquids and solids into the processor. It also comes with several other tools that I have yet to use but that I am sure will be useful. I used to hate using my food processor because of the clean up side of things. With this one I somehow don't mind it as much. This is a solid heavy duty machine that will last years and probably decades.
