I have owned many single-serve machines, including an expensive espresso machine as well as the nescafe dolce gusto and a tassimo machine. I had tried someone else's keurig machine and thought that it was OK to use but what I really liked was the variety of k-cups available. When I decided to get my own K-cup machine I opted for this Cuisinart model instead of the standard/special edition/mini/etc/etc versions available from Keurig. I can honestly say I will never go back - I LOVE LOVE LOVE this machine!!! The first one I bought I took to my office (since I already had the other 3 machines at home barely being used and I thought my husband would have a fit if I brought home a 4th) and instantly everyone I worked with was hooked and bringing in their own K-cups. I recently left that job and the other people in the office stood in my way when I left, refusing to let me take the machine!! So when I got to my new job I bought the same one... and another one for home too. So I've purchased 3 of these already! Thankfully I was able to sell the other 3 machines on kijiji to make up for some of what I wasted on those "experiments" before I found this Cuisinart machine (and appease the hubby). It works fast, 100% of the time, no problems whatsoever with operation. I have the temperature settings just the way I like, and have it set to turn on before I get out of bed (and before I get to work for my machine there) to avoid the 2 minutes of initial warmup time. This is a great option in the menu, but there are also many more great, easy-to-program options. I could write about this machine all day (I love it that much), but seriously just buy it. You won't find a better machine anywhere, period.

The cuisinart ss-700 single serve is quite the brewer. We love it. It's quick and all the options are wonderful.I personaly like the hot water option for oatmeal. My husband now has time to have two cups of coffee in the morning before work. And this single serve machine has the highest ratings from Consumer Reports Canada.

I purchased the Keurig Special edition brewer end of last year. I love the idea of the system and after investing a lot in various K cups was annoyed when the brewer stopped working after 2 months, i returned it for a replacement which worked for a grand total of a WEEK. Returned this second unit and decided to cut my losses and pay the difference and get this Cuisinart model. What a difference.....The special edition even when it was working was so temperamental, sometimes it would work right away, sometimes it would take for ages and nothing came out. The best times were when it would show "brewing" on the display, take in the water from the reservoir, make a lot of noise, and you still wound up with an empty cup. The Cuisinart has not failed me ONCE. It just works.....I love the hot water feature, the rinse feature is great after a hot chocolate has been made. It's quiet in use. The water reservoir is huge and is easily cleaned out when needed. It has a replaceable water filter which is also great.

If your in the market for a single serve coffee unit this is the one to get. Forget the Keurig branded models, there are a lot of negative reviews out there about their reliability. Pay the extra few bucks and enjoy your coffee when you want, not when your coffee maker decides to function

Similar to other people's' experiences, I have turned to the Cuisinart single cup brewer after many attempts to keep various Keurig B-60 machines running. I'm currently staying in Southern California and will be away from my home for this winter. At 'home' in Canada I have a great Breville single cup brewer. But here in Palm Springs I bought a cheaper Keurig B-60 (about the 5th one I've owned) but I will be returning it. (I know, you would think that I might have learned my lesson.) I didn't want to wait the 6 wks for the replacement to show up, so I decided to just bite the bullet and buy a Cuisinart. I''ve only had it for 2 weeks but it's working perfectly. The price of the Cuisinart single cup brewer on Amazon.ca is the lowest you will find, even less than at Costco. On top of that, your new machine will be delivered to your door or, as in my case, to your post office. I love all the facets of single cup brewers (great coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc., and something for everyone in your home) and I enjoy the choices that are available with k-cups. In Canada I live on a farm in a rural area and seldom get to a city to buy k-cups. However, I've found that Amazon.ca does a fantastic job of supplying all the newest varieties of k-cups as well as my old favourites. If you order k-cups through Amazon.ca you will be delighted by the easy ordering, good prices, and fast delivery through the k-cup provider, 'Houseware King'. In conclusion, the Cuisinart single cup brewer gets my vote: 5/5. Also Amazon.ca and Houseware King get 5/5 for providing an excellent choice of k-cups for this machine, which again come right to my door.

I do have some feebacks that will greatly help any of you if you come accross the brewing/pumping water issue => very fixable. Come on, no machine is perfect!!! I'm a customer using this lovely cuisinart BPA free coffee maker and I love this product Since Xmas 2010 & still using it & I do not regret spending a penny on that product. Would I buy this product again for myself or for a present? DEFINITELY YES.

I have that issue of the water not brewing/pumping for my cup of coffee but I know exactly why and I know how to fix it everytime. The reason for that is because the upper needle where the water pumps through to your cup is clogged. I only use Tim Horton's coffee therefore I have to use the single coffee filter for my coffee. When I 1st had the issue I read the manual & it did mention that the needle (bottom one) if clogged would not let the water go through so it made sense that if the bottom could get clogged then so can the top needle. I finally figured out how to unclog the top needle. Simply grab a napkin and moisten it with running tap water. Make sure the napkin is watery enough so that when you squeeze it water will run down your hands...so with the napkin all wet, squeeze the top needle and release. The squeezing motion will flow water into the needle and will release any clogged coffee particles. Once you release the needle you should be able to see coffee particles on your napkin. This WILL FIX the issue EVERY TIME!!! Yep this babe is very sensitive...a tiny bit of coffee particle can clog it and when I say tiny...I mean really tiny bit. Doesn't take much to get it clogged...Oh also, i forgot to mention.
