If you enjoy pressed coffee this is a good product. The filter is quite tight, so the coffee has less "sludge" than other presses I have used. I put the press on the same burner that I used to boil the water and with the double walls, it stays hot enough to last until I finish the pot. It says it holds 8 cups, but it really works out to be 3 1/2 full average size coffee mugs, so might not be ideal for more than two people.

After going through so many glass caraffes -- I finally decided I needed an unbreakable French Press and I made the right decision this French Press is exactly as described and works great. It keeps coffee hot. The press does an exceptional job

If you love coffee, this is the best tasting brew you will get. Never mind expensive machines or wasteful plastic cups and disks.

The carafe is chic and substantial and keeps the coffee hot but the volume is small and you won't have much left over. This annoys some reviewers but if you want a 12-cup carafe a drip is probably your best option (I've never found a drip with a big enough basket to make a decent 12-cup brew, but that's me!).

The only issue was that the knob came off during the first use. Both the knob and the plunger shaft afte excellent quality, however, seems the weld/solder was just weak. A little dab of krazy glue solved the problem.

We broke 5 or 6 glass coffee presses before getting this one a year ago. It works very well, and it's tough as nails. Not a scratch after a year of daily use and dishwashing. It also keeps the coffee warm longer than a glass press. The only slight disadvantage is that you can't see the remaining quantity but you can guess it fairly easily by weight.

On recieving the press today my first impressions aer as follows.

This press is very sturdy. It feels solid, and will not break.
The plunger comes apart completely for cleaning.

I noticed some gunk/ grease, or sludge, possibly from the machining/ manufacturing plant left on this thing, especially in the holes where the plunger rod slides through the lid... It required special attention to thoroughly clean it. I noticed the rod handle holds water, is not entirely sealed tight. Not sure about the double walled lid. It seems to keep water out so far.

Plunger is nice and tight fitting to the caraffe, and overall I believe this will be a long lasting device that will make many a great cup of coffee. YAR!

There are 2 different styles shown online. One is modern looking with sharper edges and the other is traditional with softer edges. I ordered the modern one they sent me the traditional one. Disappointing. The picture on the box is correct but the coffee press inside doesn't match it. If you're set on the look of it, you could disappointed. I already used it before I noticed so I have to keep it, but Amazon did give me a discount after contacting them about this. Aside from that it's nice and looks to be good quality. I've had it a few days so can't speak for its longevity. I Like it better than my glass one (which broke).

My wife and I have been using this press for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. French press coffee is always so good, and this press is going to last us a very long time. The double walled construction helps keep the coffee hot for a much longer period of time than our old beaker styles, and being stainless steel means that we won't break it putting it in the dishwasher or in the sink anymore. Great for two large cups and a little leftover, which is all we need between the two of us. Highly recommended.

The product in the box does not match the picture on the outside of the box and the metal is pitted in multiple locations PLUS I contacted the manufacturer days ago to ask about getting a replacement since it is defective and I have not heard back from them yet. On the good side, it does make decent coffee. I'm just embarrassed by the quality as it was a gift.
