5.0 out of 5 stars That's Entertainment, May 19 2007

I found this movie to be most entertaining. A far cry from your usual blood and gore, or "sleeze"........ I believe there was ONE kiss!

The monsters were believable - not your current muscous-covered, slime-dripping "gross-me-out" creatures that are prevalent in the "in-movies" of today. Also, the blood-letting was limited (which was refreshing, considering how much we see of body parts and the gruesome believability of same)!

Anything to do with Egypt is fascinating and there were quite a few artifacts in the movie.

The special effects were quite good.....

I don't say this was the best-acted movie I have ever seen, but there was enough good acting (and several quality actors) to keep it alive - and again, ENTERTAINING!! This is why I watch movies.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hallmark production says it all, Nov 1 2008

With all the finesse and depth of an after school movie we are treated to an Indiana Jones knock-off.

Long before the Egyptian dynasties the world was in a struggle between good and evil. A jade plack that when assembled lets them there evil critters in from another world.

Archeologist/teacher Danny Freemont (Casper Van Dien) is in the process of finding the plack quadrants from the far corners of the earth.

Morgan Sinclair (Jonathan Hyde) competing archeologist/teacher and member of that popular cabal "Hell Fire" is in the process of pilfering jade plack pieces from never learning and unsuspecting Danny Freemont.

Now here comes the Hallmark part. Danny loves Dr. Azelia Barakat (Leonor Varela), who loves Government Official Yunan Heikal (Parvin Dabas) who is in love with Egypt. Will anyone get together?

Will the bad guys finally win or is this just another save the world at the last minute movie?

This is supposed to be Egypt however it is filmed in India. Strangely enough all the Egyptians look Indian.

This animal even looks fuzzy in Blu-ray.

Tarzan and the Lost City ~ Casper Van Dien

1.0 out of 5 stars I wish I could return this DVD, Dec 9 2008

Unfortunately I read great reviews about this DVD and bought it. What a mistake. This film is so badly made! It was awful! Everything was bad (the dialogue, effects, scenes, etc.). I don't know why these other reviewers said it was good? They should reimburse me!!
