I opened the box, read the instructions, popped in a DVD, and then next thing I know the DVD is spinning and grinding against the DVD lid. Not immpressive at all. So I figure, "hey, it was cheap, and I can still play videos using the USB port, so not a big loss". I load a bunch of videos on my flash drive only to discover only a third of my movie files work. The description states it plays back MPeg4s, but it does not, at least with sound. I have converted my movies to different file types, and the only one that works well is mpeg1, 2, 3, which are twice the size, data-wise, as MPeg4s.
I thought about returning this, but since I modify and improve everything I buy, I decided to just fix the disc tray problem by glueing 2 small pieces of memory foam inside the disc tray to keep it from touching the disc while it's spinning, and it works well now. I also bought a new 32gb flash drive so I can play my oversized movie files.
You have been warned.
