This power outlet has 3 standard grounded power outlets, and 2 USB power outlets. I really like the fact that the connector to the power source is retractable, because makes it really comfortable to put it in your pocket, or in a bag without damaging or bending the prongs. I am a dance instructor and I often have to teach in places where I have to plug in my music with only one power outlet available. With this device I am able to have my iPad and my HTC Evo charging at the same time via the USB outlets charging both perfectly fine (both the iPad and the Evo require a 5v and 2 amp. of power), while I have my boombox and my wireless microphone receiver in two of the 3 prong outlets working perfectly as well, it still leaves me an extra outlet available to plug anything else. I'm really happy with these device.Update:
I was able to fully charge my iPad from 0% to 100% in about 4 hrs using the USB port of these device.

I brought this after my Belkin Mini Surge Protector with Dual USB stopped working after 10 months of use. (to be completely accurate, the USB ports stopped working- it will work for about 5-10 secs then it will short out or something).Pros:
Able to support higher current on the USB ports. Certain devices plugged into the Belkin model did not charge at all but will on this unit.
Cons:
It doesn't plug in as well- it does a bit of a tilt.
Blocks top outlet when plug into the bottom.
Plug does not rotate-the Belkin had a rotatable plug which I used as a platform to set my charging devices on (mp3 player, phone).
We'll see how long this last. I use it daily to charge my devices and its great for travel. The foldable plug is preferred over the Belkin, but I like the design on the Belkin a lot better.

I work offshore in the Gulf of Mexico and I am on Liftboats, Diveboats, etc. There is usually only one outlet for me to plug my equipment into and this little device was exactly what I needed. It's compact and will easily fit into my Pelican Case. I use a small pigtail extention cord with it and it will plug into any outlet on a vessel. I like that it has surge protection in the event they switch generators on me without letting anyone know(which is always the case). I highly recommend one to anyone who travels alot.
