For the past dozen years Dan and Sandra Langford have enjoyed their ongoing involvement with the development and expansion of numerous rail trails including the KVR and in the Kootenay. Good book but needs updating,

This book is pretty much required reading if you want to cycle the trail. Useful descriptions and maps,and recommendations for food and accommodation. But, the Amazon publishing info is misleading: the most recent version is the 3rd edition published in 2002 - it was only reprinted in 2011, NOT updated. Enough has changed on the trail that a complete update is needed.
