I use Powerline adapters at various places in my home where WiFi performance is poor. This adapter is great for two specific reasons
(1) You can connect 3 devices with Ethernet connections to this one adapter. So if you have several devices in one location it is the way to go.
(2) You don't lose a power outlet like with most Powerline adapters. If you have limited outlets this is a great option.
If you have the above requirements then paying a premium for this device is more than worthwhile. If not get the less expensive Powerline AV500 adapters without these extra features.

Network performance has been great. Recommended.

Updated review after using for 6 months. Bottom line, these are awesome in some situations and mediocre in others. I have 3 of these in my house and it saves you from having to run internet cables to new locations throughout your house. Any of these can send or receive signals there are no dedicated transmitters or receivers. I used to love these but the more I've used them the more I've come to the conclusion that for me, I need to run dedicated cat5e or cat6 cables.

My original setup was to send the internet from my cable modem to my office and a bedroom upstairs. My TV's were all on coax and pvr's and it worked beautifully. Speed testing is dependant on your housing and the wiring hidden in behind the walls. In my situation its a 20yr old house and the speed test results I got were about 10mbps through the powerline, however I could get about 20mbs on my wifi 2 rooms away. So if full bandwidth is what you require, you might not be happy. I recently cancelled the cable TV subscription and went with some popular internet streaming services, but the amount of bandwidth available isn't enough to share multiple streams across the network. As well I found that sometimes these powerlines quit working and need to be unplugged to reset them, just often enough to be annoying. You sit down to watch or play something on the xbox and no internet...unplug/plug in then reset your device...gets old after a bit. I also looked into those coax to ethernet adapters (since I have coax ran to pretty much every room in my house), but they are $100 a connection point, so I think I'll be running cat5e cables throughout my house next week.

Been using the D-Link Power Line (both AV 500 and 600) for a couple years now and have no complaints. I'd recommend them anytime. Bought this on so I could run both my PC and laptop off one outlet. You can abolish any concerns with speed; My son plays League of Legends and World of Warcraft and has never complained about speed issues.

Easy 'setup' - Just plug in and recognized my W311AV network. Like it with three prioritized connections. Great for device that can use that extra load. Much better and less hassle than the Belkin I was using for the last couple of years.

I have around 3 of these Powerline devices around the house, and love them. Use them to mainly connect TVs as Wired connections instead of Wireless because I find that more reliable. Would definitely recommend.

No problems even when trying out in the garage. Works with other brand powerline network without issues. Very useful that it has 3 network ports.
