Product Description
Serve your drinks truly "on the rocks" with Whisky Stones. If you're like most whiskey drinkers, you probably chill your whiskey with ice. Well after spending money on premium whiskey or scotch why would you dilute it with water? These whiskey stones are the perfect way to slightly chill your favorite spirit without diluting the complex flavors. These whiskey stones are made from 100% soapstone's the whiskey stones are non-porous and will not change the whiskey's flavor or odor, keeping your whiskey as original as possible.
The whiskey stones are gentler than ice and are best used to cool down your favorite spirit just enough to take off the edge without closing down the flavor.
Using them is simple. Store them in the freezer for at least 4 hours before use. Add 3 stones to your glass, and pour your favorite spirit until it reaches the height of 1 stone (about 2 fl oz). Let stand a few minutes and then enjoy your spirit.
When finished, rinse the stones and air dry after every use and store in the freezer for next time. The whiskey stones intent is to slightly chill the drink to take the edge off. Soapstone is made up of talc which will not react to water, alcohol and or other drinks. If used with care, soapstone will not scratch your glasses.

I am a big Bourbon and Whiskey drinker. And I absolutely love the Whiskery rocks, and I thinks they are the neatest things in the world. Use them every time I Drink; it is a great gift for the Bourbon and Whiskey drinker in your life. I bought a few of these for my Christmas gifts, these is such a cool product!They don't change the flavor of the whiskey at all and no after taste. They stay cold for a long time without watering down the whiskey (total bummer when that used to happen with ice cubes). I would definitely recommend this product for any whiskey lover! I was also very impressed with the quality and the packaging - it looks really impressive. FYI These are NOT ice cubes. They have one very specific purpose, putting a SLIGHT chill on straight whiskey to allow some of the flavors to open up and take some of the edge off the Bourbon/Scotch. 3 of 4 people found the following review helpful

DB-Tech Whiskey Rocks have rounded edges and are just the right size for a whiskey glass. Noticed that some other brands are larger and have crisp edges that could scratch your tumblers. These rocks are just right, don't interfere while drinking. Nice bag included for storage.

I bought these based on other reviews but am very disapointed with the results.I enjoy pouring two fingers of my favorite adult beverages such as scotch or rum in a glass but really do not like using ice cubes after seeing the white debris from the additives in our city water left in my glass after the ice melts. After reading other reviews here I thought this would be the perfect answer. The instructions suggest placing 2-3 stones in the bottom of a glass, well I tried that and my rum was barely any cooler than the room temperature I started with. The next time I placed 6 stones in the glass and didn't even completely cover them with rum but still, I could barely tell if any chilling took place. I wish I had an accurate thermometer so I could measure the difference between no stones and 6 stones but I would guesstimate the change to not be more than 10 degrees. I really like the concept but soapstone apparently doesn't do the job. Now I'm going to look for stones made of other materials to see if something else might work. |
