Piece of junk Aug. 9 2010
By Jesus D Vidana - Published on Amazon.com
I purchased this shredder at my local Best Buy and returned it while it was still under manufacturers warranty because it stopped working. The shredder engine is weak and the claim that it shreds up to 8 sheets is far fetched. It jams with 3 sheets at times. Best buy let me exchange this shredder for the same one and I did so thinking that maybe I had purchased the bad one of the bunch. I was wrong the second one was just as bad and had the same problems as the first. Stay away from this shredder.

Not for long term use March 12 2010

I am on my second shredder in a year. After several months of use, paper gets stuck in the blades and it no longer shreds. I use this for home only so there isn't an over abundant of shredding.

Great shredder Feb. 9 2010

This is a good quality shredder, shreds into nice diamond cuts that are very hard to put back together if not impossible.
only con I have is that the auto sensor is a little hard to trigger with one flimsy piece of paper. I usually fold the paper
to make it more rigid and trigger the sensor if it doesn't trigger initially. Doesn't alway need it. Not a biggie.

Good when it worked --- not long Aug. 21 2011
By Dirk J. Willard - Published on Amazon.com
Dynex has a QC problem. Their powered hubs (for splitting USB) are poor; I've had 2 and both failed within a few months because the plug sockets failed to make contact or because the case wasn't sturdy.

As for this shredder, it failed after the 3rd use, about a month after purchase. The switch failed though the shredder seemed willing. The motor seemed a little under-powered.

Spend the money and get a good shredder. I spent $120 fo a micro-shredder.

Safety switch Jan. 11 2013
By Bob Seibel - Published on Amazon.com
Shreds AWESOME dimond cut for papers and stright for CDs and does it with ease. The only bad part is they try to protect you from your self, there is a safety switch that requires the shredder to be on the trash can just right to work.
