The romance book Daddy's Little Dividend, written by Elda Minger was not my favorite but it was ok. It is about a wealthy businessman named Luke Garner who sees a picture of a beautiful young model named Natalie Davis and sets out to meet her, he finds her and they have a fling and she becomes pregnant.

1.0 out of 5 stars It Was Bad!, April 12 2003

This review is from: Daddy's Little Dividend (Paperback)
I read this book and I was disappointed, it is about a millionaire named Luke who has the hots for a young super model named Natalie, they go on a date and he asumes that because she is a super model who models sexy lingerie ect that she is sexually experienced so he seduces her not realizing that she is actually a virgin, she becomes pregnant and it takes him forever to even ask her to marry him. Okay I know that Natalie should have told Luke that she was a virgin but he could have been nicer to her and not treated her like a trophy and a sex object and should have taken it slowly with her because as it turned out she was a very insecure young woman with a very troubled family life and a lot of emotional baggage leftover from her troubled relationship with her emotionally disturbed mother. This book had so much potential and could have been so much better but it was just too depressing with all that emotional conflict and strife and Luke was just too pompous so I just didn't enjoy this book. So basically if the story hadn't been such a downer and Luke hadn't been such a dork the book would have been better.

Note: Daddy's Little Dividend was a little raunchy compared to most other Harlequin books and some Harlequin readers may be put off by that.

4.0 out of 5 stars Loved it!, Nov 3 2011

Daddy's Little Dividend was a favorite of mine. Read this book when I was a teen and it stuck so much, I had to find it again. It's more erotic and explicit than some of the earlier harlequin's which is what I loved about it. Can't wait to reread this book.
