This slim volume by Jeanne Du Prau contains enough basic information to give young readers a very thorough understanding of daily life in the colonies.Houses, furniture, meals, clothes, amusements, work, trades, worship and education are well explained and illustrated with period paintings and photographs of historical interpreters in authentic settings.
The author provides a glossary, suggested reading and websites for more info.
