Mark Susnow is a writer with a conscience. He obviously cares deeply about what people go through when they are confronted with change in their life, as we all are from time to time. I really enjoyed the wise counsel, the coping insights, the empathy, and most importantly the pragmatic steps a person can and should take to grow. He really helps the reader grasp the fundamental concept that when a person is confronted with change, disruptive or not, in their life that they are also presented opportunity. So this is much more than psychological cheerleading, it is anecdotal lessons that are easy to relate to- the type where the lightbulb goes on above a reader's head, "alas!"- and the fact is, with the right tools everyone can not only cope with change, but use it to one's advantage and emerge a stronger, wiser, and better person for it. All in all, not just an enjoyable and accessible read, but an invaluable tool for one's personal navigations.
