Mel Foster narrates, giving all the characters a vibrancy that makes the story worth a listen. The focus is largely on Eric, the teenage son, who is not only experiencing supernatural events, but also living the difficulties of being a teenager who is spending the summer in a strange town. Foster gives just the right touch to Eric and his friends while at the same time perfectly rendering the story's growing tension.
