5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome series!!!,, Mar 24 2006
This review is from: A Darkness at Sethanon: Volume IV in the Riftwar Saga (Mass Market Paperback)
Here ends the first of the Midkemia series. Great, awesome etc. Feist delivers a top notch read and only gets better as he goes. The cast of characters are truely unique and memorable, especially Jimmy the Hand which in later books becomes one of my all time favorite literary characters.
If you love fantasy, you have to get this!!

If you like books like this one, might I suggest another I've recently come across. The Unsuspecting Mage by Brian S. Pratt. It's another fantasy adventure sure to please. I highly recommend it.

This review is from: A Darkness at Sethanon: Volume IV in the Riftwar Saga (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the 4th and final book in the Riftwar series. I would have to say that it was a great ending to the the series. I really don't want to give away anything major but suffice to say you will not be sorry you picked it up. The only problem I have with this series is that there is never really any doubt that all will turn out well in the end. It would be nice to see the heroes get a few bumps along the way or to have the ending in doubt. Now having said that I will say that this is a great book as is the rest of the Riftwar series.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nope, Mar 28 2004

This review is from: A Darkness at Sethanon: Volume IV in the Riftwar Saga (Mass Market Paperback)
No where near the quality of Magician Apprentice, the besxt part of this book is when we finally get to see Pug and Tomas at their best, they are no longer the "mere mortals" of Magician.
