I have a number of books by David, I purchased his for my D700 as well. He takes you through the camera in a straightforward and meaningful way. I find the books easy to read and find information I need quickly. They certainly add much to the manual that ships with the Nikon products I have purchased. He also gives you some insight into items you may find useful when using the camera. Often, they are not necessarily the name brands that can cost much more than a perfectly useful 'house brand'. This was an added bonus for me.I will continue to buy books by David D. Busch from Amazon, you can't beat the Amazon price and David has done an excellent job of making me more aware of all the things my cameras can do for me.
