Came on time, for a baby shower. It is a cd I know, loved and used with my kids.
Nice to pass it on to a new young mother.

5.0 out of 5 stars magical and beautiful; lovely beyond words April 23 1999

Format:Audio CD
impossible to describe -- bits of classical music, children's rhymes, choir songs, and lullabies all performed as if by the most accomplished symphony on earth. heard it on an npr station while away, and bought it months later, that's how haunting it was. great for any age -- newborn to 100

1.0 out of 5 stars Not classical music Feb. 13 2010
Format:Audio CD
This one of the worst CDs I have bought in a long time. I have listened to it once and will never listen to it again. I bought it based on the other good reviews that this CD received. I thought it would consist of soft classical music of the 'berceuse' type, instead it consists of songs that are sung in the 19 th century traditional English style. They are only loosely based on a classical theme. If you like this type of music that's fine but others beware, this is not a classical music CD in the sense of the word that most us associate as classical
