Fun for Fans of Evil Dead, Oct 2 2008
This review is from: Dead and Breakfast (DVD)
If you like Evil Dead I & II, along with Army of Darkness then you will enjoy this movie. Yes Shaun of the Dead was funnier, but the camp value in the movie with the songs and cheesiness make you laugh.

if you love comedic zombie films, you'll certainly love this. yes, it's rather low budget. yes, it's pretty cheesy. but it's incredibly hilarious and definitely worth watching at least once. it's a proud and happy member of my zombie movie collection.

I know they tried...but it still sucked!, Oct 27 2009
This review is from: Dead and Breakfast (DVD)
I was really looking forward to watch this unknown film "Dead & Breakfast" since it appeared on some magazine ads and had decent hype online and on some blogs...i mean, i love horror films and I LOVE ZOMBIE movies...but unfortunetly this is not one of them.
The movie while fast paced still didnt interest me at all and kinda had me doing chores around the house while it was playing in the background (not a good sign).
I understand these guys wanted to get a cult status for this film but they really can't seriously get it, first of all...the acting and the casting wasnt great at all, the characters were kinda all annoying especially the cop, guitar player, the sheriff, the maid of honor...well you get what im saying..
And the laughs (that they were mainly looking to get) were few...im not gonna lie, there were some funny moments in the movie that i actually enjoyed but besides that, mostly dumb and dull.
And oh yeah...i forgot..what about the zombie aspect of the movie? You gotta be kidding, my next door neighbor's halloween decor on their lawn is scarier than what you'll see in D&B.
So when it was all done, i asked myself "What was the point of this movie?"
I still dont know, but what i do know is that the DVD was in yesterdays garbage collection.
