“Suspenseful…Worlds collide, setting up the perfect stage for Charlaine Harris’s final words and her ultimate plans for the future of dear Sookie.”—New York Journal of Books
“Plenty of southern wit, humor and no small amount of grace on Sookie’s part…Harris has a few more surprises up her sleeve.”—Monsters and Critics
“As loyalties realign and betrayals are unmasked, Harris ably sets the stage for the ensemble’s last hurrah.”—Publishers Weekly
“Vampire politics and nefarious plots run amok…Harris has taken both Sookie and readers on an unforgettable ride with biting humor, treachery, and blood-soaked violence. Deadlocked features all the elements that have made this series such a pleasure. Get ready to roll!”—RT Book Reviews --This text refers to the Mass Market Paperback edition.
It’s vampire politics as usual around the town of Bon Temps, but never before have they hit so close to Sookie’s heart…
Growing up with telepathic abilities, Sookie Stackhouse realized early on there were things she’d rather not know. And now that she’s an adult, she also realizes that some things she knows about, she’d rather not see—like Eric Northman feeding off another woman. A younger one.
There’s a thing or two she’d like to say about that, but she has to keep quiet—Felipe de Castro, the Vampire King of Louisiana (and Arkansas and Nevada), is in town. It’s the worst possible time for a human body to show up in Eric’s front yard—especially the body of the woman whose blood he just drank.
Now, it’s up to Sookie and Bill, the official Area Five investigator, to solve the murder. Sookie thinks that, at least this time, the dead girl’s fate has nothing to do with her. But she is wrong. She has an enemy, one far more devious than she would ever suspect, who’s set out to make Sookie’s world come crashing down. --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.
Book arrived in good condition. The story is fun to read but start getting a little "too much". Maybe the whole Sooki Srackhouse story could have stopped at book #11.Published 1 month ago by Amazon Customer

This book was great. I wish that Charlaine was going to keep the Sookie Stackhouse books going. There is only one more left. As soon as I get the book I can't put it down.Published on March 12 2013 by Coco
I found the last book rather slow and a bit more dull, this one has picked up the pace again. Although I am a Sookie/Eric lover and I am dissappointed things are going as I had... Read morePublished on Aug. 2 2012 by zodiac
