Camelia is still coming to terms with her unusual and often frightening gift. It helps that she is able to share things with Ben, since he also has the gift of seeing the future through touch. In fact, he has risked his life for her more than once.Strange things have begun happening with Camelia's friend, Adam. He doesn't want to admit it, but he might be in danger. He is receiving odd crossword puzzles in the mail and on his car windshield, and a frightening message was scrawled on the door of his apartment. Camelia tries to make sense of the ominous threats as she warns him, but she is also worried that Ben won't understand her increased involvement with Adam. Camelia's life is full of secrets. Only her closest friends know about her ability to see visions of the future through her clay sculptures. Although her parents love her dearly, she hasn't found the courage to tell them of her special talent. Her mother harbors secrets about her own sister, who is receiving treatment at a mental facility. Camelia believes her Aunt Alexia may share her psychometric abilities; however, admitting that would require revealing her own secret. Will Camelia be able to protect Adam without ruining her relationship with Ben? Will she be putting everyone's life in danger? Laurie Faria Stolarz continues her thrilling TOUCH series with DEADLY LITTLE GAMES. Fans will be excited to see that a fourth book is also mentioned - DEADLY LITTLE VOICES. I, for one, can't wait! A twisty, turny, puzzling little mystery,

Poor Camelia. Ever since Ben has come into her life things have gone on a downward spiral. First there was the whole situation with Matt, then Debbie Marcus, and now this.Discovering she had a psychometric ability was hard enough to deal with. But then she begins sculpting Adam's body parts - his eyes, his lips - for reasons she doesn't understand. All she knows is that her sculptures must mean something, but what? Is it because their almost-kiss is her regret? Or could it be something else - a premonition that Adam is in danger? Even if it means losing Ben, her soul-mate, the only person who can truly understand her abilities, is she willing to put Adam's life at risk? *** Deadly Little Games is the third book in the Touch series by author Laurie Faria Stolarz. This book is another nail-biting mystery in a series whose main character, Camelia, has the psychometric ability to discern certain future events through her art - sculpting, in specific. As the series has progressed, we learn more about Camelia's ability, where it has originated, and just how accurate it truly is. Her ability has been both a gift and a curse. While it has gotten her into these situations, it has also enabled her to solve them. Each book in the series is fast-paced and exciting, with twists and turns that leave you guessing until the very end. Deadly Little Games is no exception. Somewhere between the hidden meaning behind her sculptures and the mysterious crossword clues, lies the answer to the deadly little game that only Camelia, Kimmie and Wes seem willing to play. For fans of this series, this installment will not disappoint. As the puzzle continues to grow, so does the tension between Camelia and Ben over her involvement with Adam. And, readers get a chance to discover more about Aunt Alexia and her abilities. Although this book does not have a cliffhanger ending and the mystery of who is behind these games is revealed, there are many things left up in the air with Camelia, her mother, Aunt Alexia, Adam and Ben that make the wait for the next book in the series, Deadly Little Voices, which is scheduled for release in November 2011, tortuous. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful

A great addition.... *Mild Spoilers*,

This book, as the other reviewers claimed, was very good and somewhat frustrating all in one. It was refreshing to watch Camelia grow up a bit as a person, as well in regards to her powers. Many of the other characters inlcuding Wes and Kimmie were finally getting the development that they truly deserved.I was surprised first of all that the book takes place so close after the last; however, I found it refreshing that Adam came back and did not simply dissappear. Some of the book such as the transcripts and some of the crossword puzzles were extremely obvious but still enjoyable. I loved the developement of Aunt Alexia and am looking forward to how Stolarz addresses her in the next book. I found Ben somewhat frustrating since his character was not particularly dynamic or interesting until the very end. There was very little about him included besides for his "bad feeling" that he sensed. I did enjoy some of the scenes that he was in otherwise. The ending of course was frustrating and I hope that Ben becomes more dynamic again in the next book and I hope that him in Camelia get things worked out. I find their attitude about their relationship frustrating, but it wouldn't be a good book if Stolarz made everything perfect for them and didn't frustrate the reader just a little.... I have been a fan of Stolarz's for some years now and have found this book to fall right in line with what I loved about her BIFN series and the other two books in this series. This book by far did NOT dissappoint and I am extremely excited for the release of Deadly Little Voices in November 2011. The plot change was great as was the character development and the perfectly frustrating ending (Ben and Cam), Stolarz just keeps adding to my expectations! This book is a must read for any fan of any of her books. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

Starting to get really predictable,
By A. L. Myers - Published on Amazon.com

I really enjoyed the first books of the series and was a little disappointed by how predictable this book was. There was little suspense involved and the book should have focused more on Camelia's Aunt to really get the reader engaged. The usual pattern of Camelia lying to her parents and hiding things just makes the book feel like a repeat of the previous books instead of something fresh.
