Well, Dean Martin is one of those singers that, with each new song heard, continues to amaze me. He sits in a list (a very short list) of singers that I would class as the best. The continued love for the music is maintained with this CD.
I personally find some of Dean's Reprise records to be the most well crafted (production wise) of all time, and Dean helps them to soar. He was such a terrific singer, and had the nicest voice. I, find when I discuss him i become very dumbed down, only the simple words like terrific and nice come to mind. I guess he takes my breath away.
Anyway, this CD digs up the original LP's - two of the best as well, and delivers golden tracks like Houston, I Will & You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You - all very big hits for Dean. It also has (of course) the "mere" album tracks - lesser known songs like Love, Love, Love; Little Lovely One and Everybody But Me. The thing with Dean is that sometimes less is more. These lesser known songs are some of my favorites.
So over all, this CD delivers the Dean Martin goods.
