With teen parenthood superimposing itself upon college plans, both give voice to disbelief, confusion, and fear. Chris wants them to marry; Helen's mother wants the young woman to have an abortion. When an attempt to miscarry fails, Helen accedes to her mother's pressure. But alone at the abortion clinic, she can't go through with it, and returns home to have and keep her baby. Although Helen loves Chris, she writes, ``I'm not ready for forever. I'm not ready for him, and he's not ready for me.'' Her painful choice is to break up even though she loves him. His bitter reality is exclusion from her pregnancy and life and, by extension, the life of his unborn child. I just loved this book. It makes unaware teenagers of the real-life issues that we are always on the ledge about. We, as teenagers, think that just one time won't hurt. However, this book makes us realize that actions of two minutes, as is most of the case, can effect the rest of our life.
The other issues that are faced, such as Chris's mom, are very real. The author gets deep into the emotions of Chris and Helen. As another reader complained of Helen's whining, it sounded to me that helen is really just expressing her emotions with no one to turn to, I think that I would respond the same way.
I love it, it must get a five star, it's one of the best books I have ever read.
I think that all teenagers should read this book, in order to understand that the whole two to three minutes of pleasure, can put all of your life on the back burner.

"Dear Nobody," Helen's letters start. You may ask, "who is Nobody?" or "Why is this Helen girl writing to someone who doesn't exist?" The answer is that Nobody is 18 year old Helen Garton's baby, growing inside her. Nobody is Chris' baby too, and so when Helen breaks their relationship saying, "I just need some time to figure everything out" he is furious. This just adds to Chris' list of problems of passing his exams, finding and talking to his ex-mother, and making his desions about college. Helen also has many probems to deal with, like college, exams, abortion, and regaining her mother's friendship and love. Dear Nobody is a very good book,a story full of question that makes you think,about what it`s like for teenagers to be in that kind of situation,when the desicion that they make can change their lives.The book shows how these two teenagers go from being teenagers to the more adolt life.I give the book four stars and not five because the ending is not that good..

we only can recommend this book to other people, who are interested in youth problems, esp. in pregnancy. It is written very emotionally and it is really full of tension.
