Fun Story by an Author I Didn't Know March 31 2011
By R. DuPar - Published on
This is an audio cassette of a stories from the book "A Woman's Eye" or Female Sleuths: Selections From a Woman's Eye. The book is edited by Sara Paretsky who is also one of the 21 contributing authors.
Death & Diamonds is by Susan Dunlap and is a story about one of her series characters San Diego PI Kiernan O'Shaughnessy . She sits in a terminal reflecting on a recent case, getting ready to deliver a package to Phoenix. When her flight is delayed she strikes up a conversation with a stranger. The stranger, her package and the old case are all connected in the end.
On my cassette, the flip side was:
Her Good Name is by author Carolyn Hart. It follows another serial character Annie Darling, owner of the Death on Demand mystery bookstore in South Carolina. She receives a strange call from a cranky old woman whose friend is dead from an apparent suicide. As she hears that whole story, she realizes that as much as she dislikes this woman, the facts just don't add up.
