Even if you are not a knitter, but just an admirer of babies, this book is for you. The designs are delightful, instructions clear and the babies just adorable. A good range of projects from easy to complex. But you must use good quality yarn: these projects require a good loft. Ranks as a favourite along with several other Blissful books. Not my favorite Debbie Bliss,

I'm a huge fan of Debbie Bliss. Her clean and timeless designs, along with easy-to-read instructions and appealing photography, are typically delightful. There are patterns in this collection for 13 sweaters/cardigans, 2 blankets, 2 dresses, 2 booties, 2 hats, and a scarf. The sizes in this collection range from 3-6 months to 7 years (the title is somewhat deceptive in this regard).I wasn't very blissful, however, when I received this book. Although the publishing date is listed in Amazon as 2009, the original copyright was apparently 2002. I found several of the designs to be very 80/90s (like the Floral Jacket, Tunic with Contrast Edging, Butterfly Cardigan, and Rugby Shirt. I'm in my late 20's and am very particular with style of knitted garments...which is why I usually like Bliss' timeless pieces). Honestly, I would really only consider making 3/4 of these designs. On the bright side, however, the Guernsey Dress (on the cover) and matching booties are adorable. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

I would have loved a sneak peak inside this book, but definitely was not disappointed when I received it. The patterns are adorable and I know my new granddaughter will look very cute and stylish in them. I am currently working on the little dress on the front. It is a pleasure to knit and the directions are clear and easy to follow. Delightful!

This is another wonderful book by Debbi Bliss that is filled with beautiful patterns for the little ones in our lives. There are cute scarves and dresses, jackets, sweaters and afghans to knit for babies and children up to 7-8 years old. All these pieces are comfortable and fashionable and guaranteed to please. Once again, be aware that these patterns are not for the beginner. While a little complicated, they will definitely be worth the trouble for that special baby.
