A fascinating glimpse into life in Bloomsbury,

Angelic Garnett is a strong writer who provides an intimate picture of growing up in an unusual, rarefied place. It is interesting to read how her pespective changes (as does everyone's) as she moves from childhood to late middle age. Her inexplicable leap into a very unhappy marriage with a much older man makes for interesting reading.
