Clearly written! Excellent choice of exercises! This will make a good reading for anyone even remotely interested in making decisions in health care or medicine. The methods and techniques elucidated here will be useful at all levels of the health care system. Get a copy of this book and do not drop it until you've read it all. Probably, the most comprehensible state-of-the-art textbook of medical decision sciences devoid of undue jargon.

This is an excellent book for all of us who are non-statisticians but looking for numeric answers when dealing with diagnostic dilemmas in difficult cases or ordering imperfect medical tests (are any perfect tests in medicine? let the world know!). This is the best book I know so far which explains Bayesian approach in quite a plain language with clinical examples of colorectal cancer screening, breast cancer screening, emergency medicine etc. The CD has pletora of exercises with clear, great, and step-by-step explanations.
The minor downside is the demo version of decision making software on the CD, which creaters some confusion as the book does refer to this software in the text (may be I overlooked) without mentioning that this is only a demo version (i.e you can do some of the tests but can't save them etc)
Overall great value for the money! I love it.
