Exceeded my expectations, Feb 8 2005

I purchased this knowing that this was a graphic novel
and only because I needed to fill a shipment for free shipping.
Having read 2 reviews, i purchased this knowing that i
have absolutely no interest in Orcs.
This novel follows the actions of a bunch of Orc bombers while
they crash and burn from one mission to the next.
As i was turning the pages, i found myself chuckling to myself
time and time again. This short graphic novel is an extremely
fast read but i found the actions of the Orcs to
be quite entertaining and very fun.
The artwork could have been better but it sort of
matched the style of the orcs.
I would recommend this to anyone with at least
some rudimentary understanding of the WH40k world.
A solid 5 stars when you consider the subject
and style of this graphic novel.

Deff Skwadron is a small, black and white comic featuring Ork fly boyz from the Warhammer 40,000 universe. It contains several short stories, you can crush it in a half-hour, and it is brilliant! The writer and illustrator have a firm grip on what makes orks so fantastic as they have captured it on these pages. High speed destruction at all or anyone's cost is the rule of the day and it gets taken to the nth degree in hilarious fashion. It is a blast to read and a steal if you can land it for under 10 bucks. If you like Orks and the wanton destruction that follows in their wake then this is your bible.

I was very sceptical to the artwork at first glance, but this turned out to be one of the funniest graphic novels I've ever read. It had me doubling over in laughter.
The chaotic and sometimes crude style is excellent for depicting the general mayham of the space ork flyboyz of the Deff Skwadron. It's absolutely worth reading for any ork fan, if you can get hold of it.
