I watched all episodes and came away with a slight interest in seeing the next season but no overall compelling urge or anticipation to seeing them. The alien characters need to be less human in their reactions and there also needs, (IMO), more science advancements involved given the amount of highly advanced tech that keeps falling to earth.
The overall integration of alien life into human society seems too unrealistic and too many human overtones are apparent within the alien factions themselves and I consider to be a flaw in the movement and path the factions are heading in.

Surprisingly smartly-written show; a real relief and a surprise given the previous few decades in this genre and others.

The way everything plays out, the characters are just savvy; the thing you hope they would notice... they do. They are plenty of "oh, crap!" moments and not so many "WTF!" moments. Sometimes, it can take a few episodes to realize what's going on, but it always seems to tie into something. Situations that you're expecting with every fiber of your being to be resolved in some formulaic manner end up sideways of what you'd expect, and usually in a manner far more satisfying.

They spend their CG budget well. Most things can be played out well with makeup and a light hand with CG, but when there's something to really, truly convey, like the horror of sharp pieces of metal falling from the sky, they do it in grand style.

The characters have a glorious amount of rough edge to them, and pasts - which come up quite often in the series - which put different spins on their present-day issues. Make no mistake - there are some uniformly nasty folks in the series, but there are many more 'murky' characters that are quite a bit more interesting.

It tries to some extent to be a bit "hard" science fiction and tend to tie up what might seem soft/fantasy, but you still have that very strange phenomenon you find in some of these shows: alien women have breasts and are attractive to humans and can get busy with them. There are some more outlandish aliens that don't, but the "main" ones do, which is annoying.

The series also ends in a maddening cliff-hanger, of course, perhaps following True Blood's formula for getting repeat business?

I loved this show, so glad i was able to finally get it on dvd. But the product image in misleading, i thought i was getting the first season with an ultra violet copy, but its just the blu ray. Please next time an image is used is display a product, let it be exactly the same as the product. It was a bit of a let down.

A surprisingly good sci-fi show with strong performances and an intelligent premise. As developed by Rockne S. O'Bannon of "Farscape" fame, the show has an unreservedly western feel to it (although darker than Josh Whedon's "Firefly"). And it has Graham Greene, so how can you go wrong!

Made from the the producers of Battlestar Galactica, and Farscape (two of my many favorite sci-fi shows), this show did not disappoint me... Can't wait to get season 2!!!
