4.0 out of 5 stars My Intro To Science Fiction, Oct 4 2004
By Robert V. Sutton - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Delikon (Paperback)
Back "When," in third grade, we would get a pamphlet (I don't know or remember who put it out) with books, recommended reading for our age group and such, that we could buy through the school. The Delikon was one of them, and on a lark, I bought it.

Many years later, I have read hundreds of science fiction novels, but The Delikon has remained indelibly etched in my mind, and since I found it here on Amazon, will soon once again be gracing my bookshelf.

3.0 out of 5 stars little memory of details but strong impression remains..., Sep 29 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Delikon (Hardcover)
I remember a grade school teacher reading this intelligently extrapolatory novel to my class perhaps eight years ago. While the details of its story were lost to me through time and adolescence, I do recall that it was absorbing, powerful, and ultimately tragic. Its final scene has persisted in my memories even as the entirety of its plot faded, and I've no doubt that I would have un-read the novel if I could have. As it is, the novel earned my lasting (though increasingly unfocused) respect.
