I am amazed at the fact that almost every track could be a hit single. This album just makes you wanna get up and dance!!
DARE- catchy, you'll never want to stop dancing. Another reviewer of this album mentioned that the track sounded like it had been sung by a "weird womanly voice"- That's DAMON! Anyone who ever listened to Blur in their early days will appreciate Damons' vocals in this song.
Every Plant we reach is dead- Stellar, stellar. Mellow and dancy all at once, and instantly recognized as a tune from the Mac Ipod commercial. It's got a wonderful latin feeling to it, and this one too may cause fits of dancing.
This album has a little bit of everything for everyone, and if you haven't heard it, you're missing out!
Anyway I went out and bought it, and I like nearly all the songs, except for "Intro" (it's dumb in my opinion) and "Oh Green World" (I can't get past the introduction without getting annoyed). The characters in the band are all weird yet somehow lovable, from the hyper cute preteen Noodle (who is a girl... I thought she was a boy!) to the calm Russel who gets possessed by ghosts, the almost zombie-like 2D to Murdoc, the Satanic bassist who lives in his Winnebago and who probably hasn't taken a good long shower for six months (and somehow manages to get me incredibly amused.)
