I had been sort of apprehensive about seeing this movie. I heard it was a lot like the first, and honestly, I didn't like the first. It just didn't appeal to me too much.
Finally, I saw "Demons 2."
At first, I noticed some amazingly similar aspects of the sequel that had already been in the first, and I thought, "Oh great. Same story, new cast and setting." And in some ways, that's what it was. But, actually, it was much more exciting. There were much more thrills, for some reason. People were being were being killed off and turned into the demons all the time, and it was actually pretty scary during the scenes in the parking garage. One cool thing was that you never knew who would live and who would die (or suddenly become a demon) and I was guessing till the end. All in all, a great movie. Some of it was left unresolved, but the story wasn't so important. It was just a great movie, and a lot of fun. A great movie to watch with friends. It's a great time if you can sit back and just enjoy it for what it is.

Demons 2 brings back memories of searching the racks of the local quicky mart for the perfect late night video gore fest. Like a hybrid of Video Drome and Zombie Demons 2 brings life to the Undead format. Residents at a high security apartment complex are in for the night of their lives. A twenty somethings birthday party goes terribly wrong when a zombie comes out of the television and infects the birthday girl. The party guests are trapped in the apartment with the monster. One by one they are ripped apart. Some of the demon fluid burns through the floor cutting the power throughout the apartment complex. Most of the doors are electronically activated so people are trapped. A lady's dog licks the demon fluid and grows huge monster teeth. A young boy becomes demonic and attacks a pregnant lady. During the attack the demon child changes into a small creature with huge teeth. The most memorable scene from Demons 2 is when a young Asia Argento watches in horror as her mother and father are mercilessly devoured by the demon legions. A great thing about both Demons movies is the quickness of the monsters... slow zombies have their charm but rapid demons up the intensity level. Oh listen closely for a cool song by Dead Can Dance.

I loved the original Demons but this one is not really what I've expected ... The story is not in a theater anymore, the story takes place during a birthday party in a building where something goes wrong with a TV show... If you've watched the first one, then you know what is going to happen ... People running everywhere, people changing into demons and gore, gore, gore .... I just think that the movie makers should have been thinking about something more original and not a simple copy of the first scenario ... But how many sequels are like that ??? So, if you're interessted by Demons 2, rent it first and then you'll have your own idea ...

Lamberto Bava did a remake of Mario Bava's "Black Sunday,"(La Maschera del Demonio) but to the best of my knowledge it is not yet available in the states.
As for "Demons 2". It can be fun to watch, but it can stand with the best of Argento, nor the best of either Bava. Unfortunately, with the exception of "Phenomena" and "Tenebre", there are very few good Italian Horror films out on DVD. The best films of Argento, Bava & Bava, and Soavi have not yet been released on DVD.
Hear that people at Anchor Bay?...I am waiting!!!

This movie is one of the worst and terribley discusting horror movie I have ever seen. one of the most important turnoffs of the movie is that it was dubbed.
I had to forward many of the boring and jucier scene( as the cover of the video proudly announced). and the idea of every one turning into demons made the story so boring.
This movie is not worth any penny that I spent on it. Movie maker should not underestimate the audiance into making such movies in the future.
