amazing addition to the series March 4 2012
By Philologus - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This is another wonderful addition to the Elite operative series by Kim and Xenia - since only two books are left according to the authors it is only to be hoped that the two authors will not stop there <sigh>. This time the series focuses on another international black operation and after much nail-biting, chasing around the globe and a pinch of romance the reader can settle back for a short respite and the nagging suspicion that TQ who we hear about at the very end is indeed very highly placed and #6 in the series will be another wild, wild ride.

Best one yet! July 6 2012
By KellyRob - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I'll go ahead and admit that I am a very big fan of this series. From the first book, "Lethal Affairs" I have been intrigued and enthralled by the characters and the plots. In my experience as a reader, it is difficult to keep things fresh and exciting in a series like this without things getting overdone, over-the-top, or cookie cutter. But I am happy to report, that there is no such worry with this series and especially this latest, "Demons are Forever". By far I think this is my favorite in the series.
There is SO much more going on in this book than what the synopsis indicates and I promise you won't be disappointed. To me, the overall plot was not the bulk of why this book was so amazingly brilliant (but make no mistake, the story was thrilling). To me the most brilliant part about this book was camaraderie between Jack and Landis. Since I don't want to give anything away to those who haven't read it yet, all I will say is that Jack and Landis demonstrate what I have been waiting to see in these books...a loyalty that transcends the EOO. And their banter and chemistry is flawless. I would think that it would be difficult to convey that in written form, but the authors did an exceptional job of making all of the nuances of their interactions really come through to the reader.
The authors are also getting really good (much to my enjoyment) of making me think while I'm reading. You have to pay attention if you are geek like me and like to try to "figure it out" before the story ends. They had me guessing and wondering quite bit, asking myself "where are they going with this?" or "how does that fit into this?". And yeah, they threw in a few small red herrings that threw me off a bit, but that's half the fun.
I don't want to give away the book, I just really wanted to come here and let everyone who chooses to read this review and the authors know that this book really is brilliant. It's fast paced, fun, serious, thought provoking, provocative, and just plain awesome.

Great thriller series that happens to have lesbians as protagonists, June 21 2012
By Traci W - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Demons is book 5 of a 7 book series (?). It is filled with exotic and "semi-exotic" locales around the world. There is extremely witty dialogue between characters that really draws the reader in. Even though these chicks are "elite operatives", spys, if you will or assassins, they really are real women, or at least parts of real women, who have insecurities and mundane worries. It make them a little bit real even though they live their extraordinary type lives. The characters feel like old friends, some you dislike but some you want to re connects with.

There is action and angst and tough girl attitude all over the place. It's great. the conspiracy plots are well thought out and make sense in the Elite Operatives' world. I love to see so many women in the series as a whole really prove that women can be brave and heroic, even when somewhat flawed themselves. So there is hope for every one of us.

I know it's a niche market, but even in my escapism I like a little real. I'm surprised at the concentration of so many lesbians in each story. I would love to live in that world, maybe if I moved to Seattle, ha!.

One other thing I love about the series is that , again it is a niche market, and while a really steamy sex scene or 2 truly grab ones attention, the story itself is what pulls you (the reader) through the story, not the eventual hook-up. These books have story, characters and plot with a little bit of hook up.

Read on my sisters!

Demons are forever and ever and ever... March 4 2012

Wow! What a read. Demons Are Forever is book five in the Elite Operatives Series by Kim Baldwin and Xenia Alexiou. What an amazing array of action, romance and intrigue each book has to offer. Although the series is guaranteed to keep you turning pages, Demons Are Forever is an excellent stand alone and certain to capture your interest from beginning to end. Once you start you'll find it difficult to put down. As always, the lead characters are hot, capable women and ready to please. You will not be disappointed. The cameo appearances of past operatives is a nice touch that enhances the storyline. I for one will be adding this book to my "books re-read" list.
Nice job ladies and thanks for leaving us hanging with the new threat. TQ sounds like a real bi-ch. Can't wait for book six.

Another exciting read! May 2 2012
By RLynne - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Demons Are Forever is the fifth book in the Elite Operatives series and a sequel to Dying To Live. The Elite Operative series are books of Romantic Intrigue which take readers to locations around the world. In Demons Are Forever, Landis "Chase" Coolidge teams up with former operative Jaclyn "Jack" Harding to locate Cass, a colleague. Cass has been kidnapped by a brilliant scientist who, in Dying To Live, spread a plague which killed millions.

Jack and Chase enlist the help of Heather Snyder to track a suspect. Heather is a fashion designer by day and a high-class call girl by night. Together Jack and Chase develope an elaborate plan which takes the team to Asia and then to Europe in an exciting, and dangerous game of "cat and mouse".

Baldwin and Alexiou are wonderful at giving readers fully developed characters, great locations, and some very sexy scenes. The dialogue between Jack and Chase is particularly witty as the two former friends try to work out their differences. Heather is very appealing as a woman who is forced to use desparate measures.

The Elite Operative series is great, and one that this reviewer hopes will go on forever!
